Project Scope

Innovate a safety syringe with multiple mechanisms to be used in the medical fields;
hospitals, clinics and medicine schools. This is to achieve the objective to avoid pin-prick
injuries which causes infections to hospital employees such as HIV, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis
B. Covered syringe, retractable syringe and detachable syringe will be modelled to
demonstrate their mechanisms and will be completed by November 2015.

Key Deliverables
1. Research on mechanisms of syringe.
2. Gather necessary parts.
3. Build prototype to simulate each mechanism.
4. Instructions of usage and disposal.
