Annotated Bibliography Assignment

Length: 3-5 Sources with citations and annotations. 1-2 pages single-spaced.
Weight: Part of the Research Argument Assignment grade and your participation grade.
Due: Monday, November 16
Assignment: Choose 3-5 sources that you are starting with, or that will be your major sources of
information for the paper. For each source, provide a citation, a summary and a sense of how
you will be using the source in your argument in a brief paragraph. Two of these must be
academic, peer reviewed sources. Show the range of type of sources that you will be using.
Format: Please refer to Purdue Owl to see some examples in MLA format.
Grading Criteria:

Correct formatting
Correct citations
Succinct and clear annotations
Brought to class on time

Note on Sources for Assignment: At least 1/3 of your sources MUST be academic, peer-reviewed
sources. 1/3 of your sources may be popular sources such as newspapers or magazines. 1/3 of your
sources may be documentaries, interviews, tweets, etc.
