ELA notebook 3. Powerpoint on literary devices PROCEDURES: 1. Students will come into the classroom and will begin warm up 1. a short question about literary circles b. I will give notes on the different types of literary devices and give examples of each c. Students will then break off into their literary circles and finish the reading for the today (if not done already). d. Students will work on the assignment dealing with literary devices within the reading section for today 1. students will create a chart for the literary devices and write examples from the text ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION: Students will be evaluated on their comprehension of literary devices throughout the 3 weeks in their literary circles. There will be set days where the students are pulling literary devices from the text and completing an assignment.
