There is no textbook requirement. If interested however, we will be
utilizing Fundamentals of Complementary and Alternative Medicine,
4th Edition by Marc Micozzi as the informational basis for this class.

COURSE
DESCRIPTION
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) discusses the
fundamental aspects of CAM. In this 3 week course we will cover
what CAM is, how it is used in addition to its benefits/downfalls, the
mind-body-spirit connection and various therapies used.
COURSE OUTCOMES
Course Outcomes: By the end of this course, you should be able to:
CAM101-1: Demonstrate familiarity with the major concepts of CAM
and how it is used in conjunction with modern medicine
CAM101-2: Understand Mind, Body and Spirit connection and how it
can affect individual well-being
CAM101-3: Evaluate and learn how to prevent and cope with stress
using complementary and alternative medicine methods

SEMINARS
Classes will be held every Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Lincoln
Center Auditorium (Bldg 240) on Buoy State Campus
