Verse 1
a. O Lord, my alotted portion and my cup,
b. You who it is who hold fast my lot.
c. I set the Lord ever before me;
d. with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.
Verse 2
a. Therefore my heart is glad and my soul rejoices,
b. my body too, abides in confidence;
c. because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld,
d. nor will you suffer your faithful one to undergo corruption.
Verse 3
a. You will show me the path to life,
b. fullness of joys in your presence,
d. the delights at your right hand forever.
