a routine

Teacher to review with students what they had learnt about

the court system using the table. Teacher to either choose
or get students to volunteer the information.

Pair work

Teacher to then explain the activity for the day. In pairs,

students are given newspapers. They are to look through
the newspapers to look for an article that involves a case
being heard in a a court hearing. Students are to cut out the
article, paste it on the blank piece of paper and identify
answers to guided questions given by the teacher. They are
to then paste this on the wall, in the court the case belongs

Evaluation :
Lesson went relatively well.

Reflection :
Instead of moving the tables at the start of the lesson, I could have got students to come, seat at their
assigned seats and carry out the recap and instruction giving, before moving the chairs and tables. I
could also leave the chairs and tables and just let students work on them. Students were not
enthusiastic about reading, but with a little help and nudges by me, they got down to the task. Some
did not follow instructions and just underlined the answers instead of writing them out. Students
were also really playful and were cutting papers, folding paper airplanes.
