Subject: Application for the position in Design and Development in Turbomacinery
I am Pradeep Somanahalli Nagabhushan, Scientific Staff / Research Assistant at Chair
of Turbomachinery at University of Duisburg Essen.
I have around 5 year work experience in CFD and 3 years of work experience in
machine design. During my research career and master thesis I have gained substantial
knowledge on analytical and numerical aspects of 1D and 3D aerothermodynamics, 2D
and 3D blade design (ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0) and numerical simulation using ANSYS
CFX.
I am very much interested in Turbomachinery. I have also done 6 months internship at
MAN Diesel on Compressor Aerodynamics (Turbocharger). Overall I have gained some
good experience in areas of single phase and multiphase flows in axial compressors.
Along that I have also published 1 paper and have coauthored 2 more papers on
multiphase flows in Pressure swirl atomizers and Axial Compressors.
In my curriculum I have also gained some programming skills on FORTRAN and
Matlab. Also during my professional career of 2 Years and 9 months in India, I have
gained sound knowledge in Product Design and Development (ProEngineer Wildfire). I
am keenly interested in anything that involves analytical design and numerical
investigations.
