AIMS: to teach adverb formation from adjectives;
MATERIALS: pictures
METHODS: conversation, explanation, example
PROCEDURE
* T asks the Ss to describe Spikes mood in one word
(she shows them a picture in order to guess the word
easier) and make a sentence with that word e.g.
Spike is angry.
* T asks Ss what is angry as part of speech -> Ss
answer that angry is an adjective because it describes
a noun. T elicits another examples of adjectives.
* T sticks on the blackboard the an image with the
following sentence: He slams the door angrily. and
asks Ss what is the word angrily as part of speech?
They conclude that angrily is an adverb because it
describes the action (the verb). T elicits another
examples of adverbs in sentences.
* Ss write the formation rule for the adverbs.

PROCEDURE
* T tells the Ss that they are going to play a very
simple game to practice what they have learnt.
* Ss will take turns and come in front of the class and
choose the right adverb to complete some sentences.
