Job Duties:
Customer Service:
o Assist customers in locating specific merchandise across various departments or other store
locations;
o Enhance the customers shopping experience by engaging them in meaningful conversation,
smiling, and always sincerely thanking them for shopping at my store; and,
o Diffuse hostile situations by listening to the customers issue and providing a unique solution
that is beneficial to all parties.
Leadership:
o Ensure all associates are aware of their expected goals for their shift, and follow-up periodically
to ensure they are on track;
o Coach associates at every opportunity in order to develop their skills to aid them in achieving a
position with more responsibility; and,
o Provide feedback, request input, and encourage critical thinking when training associates and
engaging vendors.
Loss Prevention:
o Monitor the store for safety hazards, suspicious activity of internal and/or external persons, and
policy adherence;
o Communicate with the District Manager and other associates about high shrink categories,
security tagging compliance, and any relevant issues at the time; and,
o Confirm weekly surveillance logs, vendor logs, and cashier audits for all shifts are accurate and
complete.
