OUR COMPANY: NORSK AIR

NORSK AIR is the national airline of Norway and


is known to be one of the best airline coupanies in
the world. Workers are rarely laid off nor do they

quit, they additionally receive many benefits and a
healthy salary. Everyone enjoys the work days due
to the relaxed, comfortable environment. However,
this fact only encourages people to work harder to
stay in the company. To capture the idea of joy, yet
serious, the logo would have a playful effect while
being designed in a concise way.

The logo for NORSK AIR was reworked multiple
times until the final product was established. As
shown above, the original logo included many
more details than it ended in. The lines were
much more shakey and unclear. There was also
too many details in that the viewer could easily
get lost in the image. The final logo lost all the
dots that appeared in the sword and helmut,
and the lines appear much smoother and fluid.
The sword was also flipped to align with the logo
type better.

Catch-phrase

The NORSK AIR ads are simple yet


effective. The equation for creating a
successful ad is to have a brillant image
backed up with intriguing catch-phrase
that makes the viewere cuious about
Norway. Also, I feel the font is good
for the catch-phrase because it’s not
distracting from the image and it gives
the ad a more authentic, older feel. The
word beauty was included in each ad
because no one can resist witnessing it
when possible.

For the NORSK AIR website, we had to creat webcons. The webcons had to be 16 pixels at 16 x16. These
dimensions are tiny that when enlarged, the image becomes completely blurry and pixelated. The reason
for the small dimensions is because the webcon is only used to help identify the website in the tabs of the
browser. Also, the poor enlarged quality means the image is not large and saves memory space for larger
applications to load.

WEBSITE

was deisgned to have a simple
welcome page so that it is easy
for one to book a flight and
find any other information that
is needed. The purpose of the
glowing map of Norway is for
the customer to see all the
options of where they would
like to travel. They can also click
on any of the cities listed to find
out more information about that
specific city.
