SPOUSES OF FRENCH NATIONALS

VACATIONS IN FRANCE
If you and your spouse plan to visit France regularly for tourism or to visit family members for a maximum
of 90 days per 6 month period, you may apply for a circulation visa, which may be valid for several years
depending on the passports validity. The following documents should be provided when applying for a visa:

Duly filled out and signed Short Stay Visa application form
Two (2) recent passport sized photos (35x45mm) on white background
One (1) copy of your family book / French marriage certificate
One (1) copy of the French spouses carte dimmatriculation lambassade or the French National
Identity Card
5. One (1) copy of a Schengen travel insurance covering the entire duration of the applicants trip or one (1)
copy of the French spouses membership card in the Caisse des Franais ltranger, indicating the
applicants name
6. One (1) copy of the round trip flight booking

LIVING IN FRANCE
If you and your spouse plan to live in France for an extended period of time (more than 6 months), the
following documents must be provided:
1. Long Stay visa application form
2. Two (2) recent passport sized photos (35x45mm) on white background
3. Proof of Marriage
If the marriage was celebrated in France, a recent integral copy (less than 2 months old) of the
French marriage certificate + Family book
If the marriage was celebrated Overseas, the copy of the marriage certificate issued by the
French Embassy/Consulates Civil Registry Service + Family book
4. Proof of French Nationality of the spouse
French National Identity Card (copy of the front and back)
5. If the French Spouse is residing in French Polynesia or New Caledonia, the following additional
documents must also be provided:
One (1) copy of the travel insurance indicating the applicants name
Proof of residence such as rental contracts, property titles, EDF bills, etc.
Proof of financial resources such retirement pension, salary statements, rental property revenues,
etc.

Spouses of French nationals need not set an appointment and may come any day, Monday to Friday
(from 8-11AM), to lodge their visa applications with the complete documents.
