Fall River, MA –Maxon's new DECV 50/5 is a compact, digital, velocity controller designed for
controlling brushless motors up to 250 watts equipped with hall sensors. The controller has a
speed range of 1,000 to 60,000 RPM for 2-pole motors. Requiring a supply voltage of 12 to 50 V
DC, the controller can deliver 95% of the supply voltage to the motor at 5 A continuous current or
10 A peak current. Velocity and torque can be controlled via a 0 to 5 V signal or via external
potentiometers.
Enable, direction, and stop inputs may be activated via external switches. There is also a ready
output as well as speed and current monitor outputs. Weighing in at approximately 180 g (6.3 oz)
and measuring 95 X 85.5 X 24 mm (3.7 X 3.4 X 1 in), the ambient operating temperature range of
the amplifier is 0 to 45 degrees C (32 to 113 degrees F).
