RAPID MEDICAL RESEARCH

SAYS
Clinical research enables Doctors,

Pharmaceutical Companies, Medical Device

Companies and Rapid Medical Research to
create new and better ways to understand,
detect, control, and treat illness. The studies
conducted by RMR help answer difficult
scientific or health related questions that
benefit our society, and find cures for future
generations.

When you volunteer for clinical research RMR has

protocols they must follow. The protocols are there to

make sure the criteria is met. This criteria is making
sure the individuals who volunteer are suitable for the
study. They make sure the volunteers have a
schedule, know the specific procedures as well as the
length of the study.

A clinical trial is one way to do clinical research.

These trials give volunteers the opportunity to play a

role in advancing medicine and helping health care
complete the research. The trials are there to define
how safe and effective medicine, treatments, or a
product are for humans.

PHASES:
This research consists of 4 phases. The first phase is tested on

a small group of individuals. During this phase they determine

the safety, dosage and side effects. The second phase is for a
larger group of volunteers and further evaluate the items listed
in phase one. In phase three the drug is again tested on an
even larger group. This time they are not only testing the
safety but they compare to the new drug to common
treatments and collect data for the FDA. In phase four the test
is continued to collect information in different geographical and
demographical locations, then the long term effects are
determined. This phase is optional and often performed after
the drug has begun marketing.
