Health & Safety Policy

Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 General Policy Statement


1) The board of Directors of the Broadcrown Group of Companies regards the promotion of Health
& Safety as a mutual objective for all employees at all levels in the company structure, in an
endeavour to eliminate accidents and the consequences these entail for the individual involved and
their families.
2) It is the declared policy of the Group that all reasonable measures shall be taken to prevent
personal injury, loss, damage to property and protection to all in so far as they may be affected by
the hazards that may arise from the Groups activities or its products. Inherent in this policy is that
all products shall be designed and constructed so as to be safe, when correctly used for their
intended purpose.
3) In particular the Broadcrown Group of Companies accepts the responsibility:
a) To provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions taking account of statutory
requirements.
b) To provide training and instruction to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently.
c) To make available all necessary safety devices and protective equipment and to ensure their use.
d) To maintain a constant and continuing interest in Health & Safety matters, applicable to the
Groups activities and for its Management to set an example in safe behaviour.

Employees have a duty to co-operate in this objective:


By working safely and efficiently.
By reporting all unsafe conditions that could, or have led to accidents and injury.
By adhering to the safety procedures laid down in the Groups Safety Rules and Regulations
handbook, adopting good working practices at all times and adhering to any additional safe
working methods required by Management.
d) By assisting in the investigation of any incident that has led to injury or could have led to injury.
