Pesarattu Recipe

Pesarattu is not only easy to prepare but also very nutritious as we are using
green gram to make this dosa . A delicacy from Andhra Pradesh, it is
sometimes served with plain upma (pesarattu with upma is know as MLA
pesarattu) and ginger chutney. Today we will learn how to make pesarattu
following this easy recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for pesarattu


1 1/2 cups mung beans, mature
seeds

small onion, chopped

Recipe Directions for pesarattu
rinse and soak the mung beans for about an hour.
coarse grind, adding the green peppers and salt using one cup of water
add the chopped onion and cumin.
heat griddle.
pour a laddle of the batter and spread into a circle about 5 inch in diameter.
pour half a tsp of oil around the outer edges of the circle.
cook for about 2 minutes, flip and cook the other side, adding another 1/2
tsp of oil.
serve with green chutney, mango pickle or idli powder.
