What do you expect to happen (Todorov) What tequneeks codes and

conventions have been used to sujest this?
The trailer does not apper to follow Todorovs 5 part structure of a
narrative. As the tailer does not start with an equlibum. This is apparent
as only the second shot is conflict. Unless the equblibum is conflict.
A new equlbium is sujested as the trailer is left on a clif hanger. This
sujestes that something will change leading to a new equlbium.

What do you expect from the charicters? Propp. What tequneeks/ codes
and conventions have been used to sujest this?
Propp belived that there were always the same character in any narrative
story.
1. The villain (struggles against the hero)
2. The donor (prepares the hero or gives the hero some magical
object)
3. The helper (helps the hero in the quest)
4. The princess (person the hero marries, often sought for during the
narrative)
5. The false hero (perceived as good character in beginning but
emerges as evil)
6. The dispatcher (character who makes the lack known and sends the
hero off)
7. The hero [AKA victim/seeker/paladin/winner, reacts to the donor,
weds the princess

De Caprieos character appears to be the hero and his son the herrowen.
Tom Hardys character also appers to be the villan.
After reading plot summerys the tailer appers to be almost from a
different film. It is quite hard to use propps theory with this in mind. But 3
charicters are clear.

and conventions have been used to sujest this?
As the trailer is told from one charicters point of view. It is clear which
character the audience is encouraged to side with. This gives clear
indecation that de caprios character is the goody and there for tom
hardys character is the baddy
