I want to research the career path and responsibilities of a successful salon owner.
My Interest
I would like to interview the owner of GG Beauty salon located in Tooele. I would like to know
how she got her salon started, and how she keeps the salon running today. I also would like to
describe my interests and goals. This will allow us to compare paths and steps that would be best
for me to take.
Advantages
I have already obtained my Utah state Cosmetology/Barber license. I work part time in a salon to
gain experience while I attend school for business. With my salon experience and future
knowledge of business, and some accounting I will have an advantage when opening my own
salon.
Potential limitations
My current limitation would be my financial situation. With student loans and other expenses it
has made it so that I cannot currently work toward opening a salon. As of now I focus of the
business aspect of opening a salon and my education. When I graduate I will be able to work on
the financial phase of the salon.
