How the simulation works

The simulation introduces challenges and conflict based
upon varied interests and information among teammates.
There are five (5) role profile descriptions a player sees
in his or her Profile Screen.
Each team will consist of five (5) members

These profiles also contain team and individual goals

which contribute to the learning opportunities in the
simulation
Role profiles are CONFIDENTIAL. It is up to you to share
this information.

How the simulation works

You face the ongoing challenge of reaching the
summit.
You also face three (3) discreet challenges during the
simulation:
1. A Medical Challenge
2. A Weather Challenge
3. An Oxygen Challenge

To successfully address each challenge, team members

must share privately held information effectively with
others;

The group must synthesize both commonly held and

privately held information to solve the problems that
they face.

How the simulation works

Preparation time:

15 minutes

Read preparatory material

Watch introductory video

Estimated running time:

60 minutes

6 rounds of decision-making for each

In order to advance the simulation, every single person
has to have entered his/ her decision for that round
Get to know your team, understand each team member as
an individual
Understand the software and how to look at the data, learn
what is available to you
This exercise requires analysis & calculations
You will be making decisions for the team and for yourself
