Assessment Inventory Reflection

The formative assessments that were administered by the teacher were mostly or question
or he would have the students go up to the board and answer a few questions. Mr. Lusk did give
a few worksheets to the students. When I observed his lessons I thought his form of formative
assessments were very appropriate for the lesson he taught and the learning and performing
ability of his students. The oral questioning worked well because the students were able to learn
from each other a quickly display their knowledge and they were always called by randomly
picking their names out of the bucket after giving each student a few minutes to think about the
question and prepare an answer. Allow the students to go to board to answer questions was also
good to allow the students to learn from their classmates and help their classmates if they needed
help solving a problem. The students also used hand help analog clocks and a digital clock to
display time. This was another form of formative assessment that the teacher used because he
assessed the students know of knowing how to tell time by giving each student a different time
and they had to display it on the clock. These assessments were all giving to all of the students in
the class.
Pre-Assessment the students were giving a worksheet or Mr. Lusk would write one
question from a worksheet and have the students to answer the question to see if they have any
knowledge of the topic before he taught the topic. He also used oral questioning a few times as a
pre-assessment. These assessments were giving to the entire class.
Summative assessments were mostly worksheets or test questions that Mr. Lusk compiled
from the other assignment and questions that the students completed throughout the unit.
Summative assessments is when the teacher used a lot of open ended questions, to see what the

students have really learned and has retained from the unit. All of the summative assessments I
have observed were all giving to the entire class.
