the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEAs website.
Start and end dates: 8/1/2016 to 6/30/2019

Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.
Summarize the plans major curricular and professional development outcomes
that are supported by research.
Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.
-
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)
Each teacher is able to connect their laptops directly to the projectors that are built-in to
the classrooms. Anything that needs to be viewed from the laptop can be viewed in a
larger scale onto the projector. This is very useful for all teachers. For example, in a math
class we are able to show how a problem is worked out by showing multiple examples
from the laptop to the projector for all students to see. In addition, teachers can provide
students with resources from the internet.
Each administrator uses their individual laptop to create spreadsheets in Excel for all the
students. The database is used for each grade level. This helps them better manage the
number of students, contact information, class schedules, etc
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of
digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. Is technology currently available to all students?
At Harmony Science Academy Houston High, students have access to technology. There
is a class set of chrome books for each student in each room. In addition, two computer
labs with 25 desktops.
2. Do all student groups have equal and appropriate access to the available
technology?
Yes, all students have equal opportunity to access the chrome books in the classrooms.
They are also able to stay afterschool and work in the computer labs.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. Are targets for improvement in student achievement being met?
Yes, with all the technological implementations that are currently at our school, students
are improving academically. There has been a tremendous increase in student
achievement after these implementations.
2. How will technology be used to create more powerful learning experiences
to improve student academic achievement?
Technology is being used in various different ways at our school. For example, we
empower students to be involved in extracurricular activities such as the robotics club.
The robotics class and club are both designed to teach students different types of
technology to build a new innovation. These innovations are tested and re-tested and
prepared for demonstration at STEM Festival. These projects are displayed at this event
to show how students are learned different types of technologies in robotics class. This is
just an example of how our students improve academically, especially those who want a
future in the science field as their future career.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided on-going
support in the effective integration of technology into the curriculum?
Teachers and administrators are always trained on using new technology and
programs. They are introduced to our school from the central office. Every year they
also have training sessions before each school to make sure all faculties are current
on their knowledge about new programs. Throughout the school year our IT manager
is always providing faculty with support to ensure that all concerns are resolved to
provide effective technological use into the schools curriculum. This will enhance
student learning.
2. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
Our school is provided with data about each school in the district. The data is
analyzed in different categories. This data is shared with the schools faculty, and
each area that needs improvement is highly focused on for the next school year.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)
Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1. What indicators of success will be used to evaluate whether
implementation of the plan has made a positive impact on student
achievement?
Indicators that can be used to evaluate the progress, is by data analysis of the
students grades, class ranking, students GPA, etc Most of the classes students
take involves technology. This will have a direct impact on the students grades
and class ranking. If a certain student moves up in their class rank after
implementation of the plan, we can definitely see a positive improvement in the
students achievement.
2. Who will participate in the monitoring and evaluation process?
The teachers and counselors will participate in the monitoring and evaluation
process. These faculty members are in direct contact with students to see if
positive improvements are occurring.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
Data can be collected every 6 weeks. This will allow faculty to
make changes and adjust throughout the school year to improve
as we go. All faculty that is directly involved in the students
achievement at the school (teachers, counselors, administrators,
IT manager) will all be responsible to help collect and
summarized data.
2. How will teachers, parents, and other stakeholders provide suggestions
and opinions in the evaluation process?
Surveys can be sent out to those directly involved. The survey will have a set of
questions to answer as well as areas for suggestions and opinions on what we
should continue to implement and what we should not.
