Please add specific comments about the student teachers observed strengths during this
teaching practicum and identify areas in which you feel further development is necessary.
Observed Strengths: /

Areas in which further development is needed:

Much better, organised start to the lesson

Objectives set out and explained and review of
previous lesson set.
Discipline rules set out.
Good knowledge of the subject.
Better use of voice and more praise in the
lesson.

Differentiation - there was an attempt in the lesson but

they were slightly too hard so the students could not
work independently.
Better pacing of lesson started off well but broke down
when it came to the task.
More classroom management the lesson soon broke
down because the students could not fully understand
the task. Trying to help individuals instead of stopping
the whole class and clarifying everything.
Proper ending to the lesson time needs to be given to
this to ensure understanding of the task.
Correct English needs to ensure correct spelling and
grammar are used at all times.

General Comments:

Noura has made a lot of progress since she began. She seems more confident with the class and more
confident in her ability. Her materials are good but need to be more differentiated and explained clearly.
Although her classroom management was stronger at the beginning she needs to ensure that she does not
allow bad behaviour to get out of control. Once this is done she will see an improvement in all areas.
