-About our institution
Kings College of Engineering (KCE) is an institution which was formed with the single aim of
providing quality education to the poor and underprivileged students. KCE is approved by Alll India
Council of Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The
institution was established in the year 2001 on a sprawling campus of around 60 acres on the
Thanjavur-Pudukkottai Highway and run by Raj Educational Trust (RET]. The institution offers six U.G
and four P.G programmes and certified with ISO 9001:2008. The state of the art teaching
methodologies are used to impart high quality education to the students including e-learning.
Mission
“Quality education for the Backward’- development and progression of the Backward, Most
Backward and Tribal communities of the Industrially backward district of Pudukottai and other
adjoining districts of Tamil Nadu, South India.
Vision
To develop a world-class institution with a high degree of work quality, capable of producing highly
skilled and knowledgeable students who can contribute to the betterment of the community and our
mother nation.
Objectives
The objective of the Institution is to provide High Quality Engineering education to the rural students
without demanding capitation or donations and to improve their all-round personality and to groom
and develop the students as responsible citizens. The institution also promotes research activities
extensively amongst students apart from regular curriculum offered.
Research Activities
The Department of Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and
Mechanical Engineering are recognized as research centres for collaborative research by Anna
University, Chennai. A significant number of projects funded by various government and non
government funding sectors namely DRDO, MCIT, AICTE, New Delhi, TNSCST, Chennai, Analog
Devices, USA and Texas Instruments, USA are successfully being carried out. Faculty members are
encouraged to participate in the faculty development programs, workshops and seminars organized
by other institutions in their research area as a step towards strengthening their domain knowledge.
About the Conference
The International Conference on.‘Emerging Trends in Engineering, Technology and Science
{ICETETS-201 6)" is to provide a forum for presenting and discussing about the new design, ideas and
alternative technologies in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology to address issues and
developments. It is hosted by our institution during February 2016. It also promotes affable
environment facilities for academia-industry interaction leading to exchange of research ideas. The
conference will feature keynote tutorial and invited talks by renowned academicians, researchers,
industrialist and scientists of international repute. This conference also provides opportunities for the
delegates to exchange new ideas and research findings and to establish research associations for
future innovations. This conference is technically sponsored
