Quick Starting Guide

A) The first step to be taken is logging into the tool for a first time please go to the
website Blackline. On the bottom you have to click the text Forgot your password?.

In the following screen, enter your SSO and press Send. You should now receive an
automated e-mail that will allow you to set-up a password.

After set-up you will arrive at the following home screen:

As soon as balances are successfully uploaded by the Stat team, you should see the
accounts assigned to you as preparer and/or approver.

B) Before jumping into the pool, wed like to give you a swimming vest via the Blackline
training suite, that you can find on the right top of the screen:

The button Training will take you to the Blackline U training suite where wed like
you to do the following courses:
Required:
101_Introduction to BlackLine Account Reconciliations
102_Navigating_BlackLine_Version_7.0
104_Preparing a Simple Reconciliation

40 MINUTES
45 MINUTES
48 MINUTES

Optional:
103_Account Reconciliations Templates

45 MINUTES

Please note that the tool allows for putting certain templates in place depending on the
nature and function of the account or account group. In case you would like to put these in
place, please send an e-mail to both Chrisa and Erik for now.
