Animal Farm Focus Questions:


1. FQ1 - ( Ch 2) How does the rebellion go? How do the animals organize after
rebellion? Cite specific examples.
2. FQ2 - ( Ch 3) Are the pigs good leaders? Explain with examples.
3. Follow up FQ 1 and 2 with creating a visual aid to "show" / "explain" your
responses to FQ1/2. Examples: storyboard, flowchart, timeline, character/event

being free to make bad decisions?

B. Read Ch. 7 (Monday after Thanksgiving)
6. FQ5 - ( Ch 7) In his role as leader, what is Napoleon doing to consolidate his

animals? Give details of tactics and predict Napoleons ultimate fate.
9. FQ8 (ch 10) Throughout the book, Benjamin the donkey has been morose
and taciturn. He spoke very little, and when he did it was often to make an
intelligent but negative observation. He felt that life never changes. He might
have said something like, You work hard, get too little to eat, and then you
die. At the end, as he reads the last change to the Seven Commandments,
All animals are equal but some are more equal than others. He might have
said, What goes around comes around. What would he mean by this? Are
there parallels in todays world? Explain.
