Adverbs
Adjectives express a quality or attribute of a noun. Adverbs express a quality or
attribute of a verb; ad(jective)+verb+ly=adverb.
Bad, tall, long, short, light, heavy, dark, cold, rough, soft, smooth, dry, wet,
easy, difficult, hard, flexible, brittle, tough, ugly, beautiful, nice, strong, weak,
efficient, patient... +ly

Clauses
Clauses are phrases that add detail to the basic sentence structure.
Relative clauses My dog, which is fat, runs very fast.

Adjunct clauses Time, Condition, Concession:
- Time: I'll call you before I leave.
- Condition: I will arrive home early if the trac runs fast.
- Concession: I looks like a good movie, although I haven't seen it.
Exercise:
Create 6 sentences using clauses. Start by creating a simple sentence, then add a
phrase that gives us more details about the situation.
