Every student enrolls at campus


and receives a Home Language
Survey.

If English/English, please direct


Home Language Survey to the
LPC.

3B. PEIMS-Students coming from other Texas


school districts.
If the Home Language Survey reveals any other
language other than English and they are coming
to us from another district, please notify your
LPAC Chair and request LPAC records. While
waiting on records, place the child in a DL/ESL
classroom and notify the parent that this may not
be a permanent placement. Once youve received records, please forward to your LPAC
Chair. Dont schedule testing appointments for
students coming from other districts in Texas.
LPAC chair will handle necessary paperwork.

3A. PEIMS-Students who are


New to Country, Out of State
or First Enrollment in U.S
Schools (PK/KN)
If the Home Language Survey reveals any other language other than
English, PEIMS clerk or parent will
call the LPC to schedule an appointment. Please send original Home
Language Survey to LPC with parent. Notify your LPAC Chair that
you have sent a student for testing.

a notification of placement via
email, and student will need to
be placed accordingly.

LPAC Chair will then have 20


school days from enrollment date
to LPAC the student. LPAC Chair
will need to complete proper
LPAC forms in Edugence and
schedule an LPAC meeting with
LPAC committee.

6. LPAC Chair
Once LPAC forms are signed, please
scan to your LPAC Z-drive by the 15th
of each month.

7. LPC
LPC will review LPAC forms and code in Skyward.
After coding in Skyward is completed, LPAC Chair
will receive a notification to pick up Orange Folder.

8. LPAC Chair
Once the Orange Folder is on campus, please
file the LPAC Roster in your LPAC Binder and
file the individual LPAC Form in the Orange
Folder. ***Please run a Skyward LEP Roster to
see if students you recently LPACed are showing. If students are not on the Skyward list,
please notify the LPC.
