I am a recent graduate of the University of Arizona and am currently looking for my first job as a new nurse. I have a strong clinical background in women's health, specifically in the Labor and Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. My senior preceptorship provided me with the unexpected opportunity to spend 36+ hours in the NICU, giving me excellent practice with adapting to unplanned changes in routine.

Sonoita, AZ 85637 (520) 390-0050 rosenowj@email.arizona.edu ______________________________________________________________________________ November 28, 2015 To whom it may concern, I am a recent graduate of The University of Arizona and am currently looking for my first job as a new nurse. I am extremely excited for the opportunity to gain more experience and knowledge in my nursing career. I have a strong clinical background in womens health, specifically in the Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Units where I was able to do my senior preceptorship. I enjoyed my 180 hours of experience in these areas and gained a vast amount of knowledge and insight. Although my experience in my final semester was limited to these units, I was able to practice critical thinking and time management in a high-stress environment as well as implement compassionate and empathetic nursing care. I will continue to use and improve these skills as I take the next step in my career. I am very detail-oriented and utilize good judgement to make timely decisions regarding patient care. I maintained positive relationships and effective communication with members of the L&D, NICU, and Mother/Baby units throughout my entire senior rotation. In my clinical experience in L&D as well as previous clinical rotations such as in the ICU I demonstrated flexibility and an eagerness to care for high acuity patients. My senior preceptorship provided me with the unexpected opportunity to spend 36+ hours in the NICU, giving me excellent practice with adapting to unplanned changes in routine. I am a fast-learner and I am always willing to further my education in whatever ways possible. In regard to scheduling, I have open availability for all shifts. My preceptorship in L&D involved working the night shift from 7pm to 7am and all previous rotations involved working the day shift, thereby giving me experience in both settings. I am committed to providing excellent, patient-centered, evidence-based care. My experiences at The University of Arizona College of Nursing have strengthened my commitment and enthusiasm for nursing as my chosen career path and I would be honored for the opportunity to work in a unit where I can improve myself both personally and professionally. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Jessica Rosenow
