In 1904, Alfred Binet created the first intelligence test. Later in 1905, Theodore
Simon, a student of Binets, together modified the test and furthered the research;
developing the 1905 Scale. Binet created a starting point on where to measure
intelligence using groups and compared the groups to each other depending on age; they
called this mental age (MA) (Windsor, D. L., Murrell, V. S., & Mangun-Jackson, S.
(2015).
The testing continued on, becoming more detailed and measurable as time went
on, however, with developments there also comes issues. Many people stated that there
were testing issues. These issues focused a lot on the differences between intelligence
tests and achievement tests. When it comes to this issues there is a lot of debate whether
or not an intelligence test also measures your achievement.
