Family
I have chosen to write about family. Now, youre probably thinking mother,
father, sister, brother, but family can go deeper than that. Family doesnt mean you
have to be related by blood. It could mean that you have a really close friend that
you consider to be part of your family.
I chose this subject because there is more than one definition of the word.
The way you define the word family is up to you. I think it would be interesting to
hear other peoples views on their family. This topic interest me because there are
many different takes on this and it is all based upon how you grew up.
Chris thought that his family consisted just of his sister. He did not consider
his parents to be family because of what his dad did in the past and how they
treated both him and his sister. Once he was on his way to Alaska, though, he met a
whole new family. He shared a special relationship with Ron, Jan and Rainy, and
Wayne.
I want to know:
1. Who do people consider family?
2. What does family mean?
3. When do people who are not related but blood, but are very close, consider
each other family?
4. Why do we usually think of family as being blood related?
5. How does having non-blood family help you in your life?
6. Does non-blood family help you with family problems?
7. Does having non-blood family cause issues between your blood family?
8. Do you feel a different type of bond with your blood family than your nonblood?
9. Do you rely on your non-blood family for different things than your family?
10.Do you call your non-blood family or just really good friends?
I think the main source of information on my topic will come from other
people. I might be able to find some articles on family relationships. The fact
questions would be hard to find in an article.
If I need to narrow my search, I will limit it to just non-blood family and
peoples relationships with them.
If I need to widen my search, I will expand blood family to cousins, aunts,
uncles, etc.
