‘To Whom It May Concern:
lam happy to recommend Chloe Peterson asa candidate for a music teaching
position, I have known her for more than two years, during which I have worked
with her on a nearly daily basis since she was a member of the Drake Choir and
Chamber Choir, which I conduct, as well as a student in our two-semester
conducting course, which I teach. In addition, | served as her academic advisor.
Inall of my interactions with Chloe I have been impressed with her talent, skill,
work ethic, and integrity.
Chioe is an exceptional singer who possesses the flexibility to provide an excellent
vocal model for students. She has strong piano skills and is also a fine conductor,
with clear gestural technique. She is able to diagnose rehearsal problems
~ confidently and offers a variety of solutions to advance the performance level of her
students.
Asa teacher, Chloe demonstrates strong planning skills, the ability to sequence
instruction, and to adapt it for a variety of learners. She is creative in her approach
to designing teaching strategies and has developed reliable classroom management
skills.
Here at Drake, she has earned the respect of peers and faculty alike by virtue of her
integrity, dependability, resourcefulness, flexibility, and good humor. Her positive
and energetic attitude inspires others and she offers the sort of sincere support that
creates an effective team approach.
1am happy to offer my unqualified support for Chloe's application for a teaching
