PART Il — TAXES, FEES AND CHARGES PAYABLE AND RATES APPLICABLE 2 (1) The taxes, fees and charges set out inthe New tapas Charges" column of the schedules to this Act shall apply oft Lt! for the respective items listed in the “Items Description” column and atthe rates set out therein, (2) Schedules 1 and 2 to this Act are part of this Act and shall be enforced as such, (G3) For greater certainty, the taxes, fees and charges applicable are payable 1 the Uasin Gish. County Government at the commencement of this Act, but which are not included in the schedule to this Act, shall continue to apply under the existing by-laws of the defunct Eldoret ‘Municipal Council, County Couneil of Wareng, and Town Council of Burnt Forest, until such by-laws are specifically repealed or replaced by county legislation 3. (1) All ditections, resolutions, orders and estan, ‘zuthorizations on or relating to financial management, ‘tey"®56 ro asin Gish Cony Finance including the collection and administration of taxes, fees and charges given or issued by the defunct Municipal council and subsisting or valid immediately before the cessation of the pplication of the Local Government Act (now repealed) shal ‘be deemed to have been given, issued or made by or under the authority of the Ussin Gishu County Assembly until expiry, amendments or repeal of those directions, resolutions, orders ‘and authorzation on financial management and shall continue, withthe necessary modifications, apply both 0 the payment and administration of the taxes, fees, charges and other levies under this Act. 2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the specific ‘espective amounts payable in respect of the taxcs,fecs, changes or other levies and, in that regard, the amount ‘provided shall be as applicable shall be as provided for in the “New Charges” column in the Schedule, 4. (1) The County Executive Member in charge of Finance and Economic Planning may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act respecting any’ matter that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed under this Act or for the carrying out or giving effect to this Act. (2) Regulations under sub section (1) shall not take effect unless approved by a resolution passed by the County Assembly.
