I have chosen the name ‘Old Skool’ for my magazine as my main
focus is the old school theme. As you can see, I played on the
original spelling of the word ‘school’ just to try and grab my
audience’s attention and they will want to read the magazine. I
think I have achieved this by my captions and images.
As I do not want my audience to get bored, I have tried to
incorporate some eye-catching pictures that show the rapper’s
unique style. The magazine should tell the reader of things that
they can’t easily find out about themselves e.g. what the rapper’s
favourite shoe brand is, It should also have information that is
relevant to the magazine so that there is a clear pathway for the
reader to follow eg keep to the theme don’t be tempted to
diversify.
Hopefully, my audience will be intrigued by the name and cover
and will want to read more!

I have chosen Rappers Delight as my strap
line as I thought it was catchy and something
that stays in your mind. Rappers Delight is also
a name of a song which RUN DMC did. As RUN
DMC were my biggest influence to do this
magazine, I thought that it was suitable to use it.
Hopefully people will recognise this as they see
my magazine and the strap line and think that it
was a nice touch and will want to read more to
find out what my magazine is about.
