6.

Establish criteria for annotation texts:

Students will be collecting a vast amount of data to produce their final
project. I will have students use the triangulation method of data
searching to help provide accurate/credible information, multiple
viewpoints on a topic, and to assess a discourse in the topic they are
researching. I have created multiple worksheets for examples of how
students can visually put their sources into conversation.
Students can create their own visuals to represent the ways in which they
are synthesizing their sources. I have given the worksheets only as a
guide because each student will have different data and sources.
7. Representing Findings:
Students will give a short presentation to their class in the early stages of
their project.
Students will present their chosen career and any obstacle that they may
face in achieving their goal.
Classmates will provide feedback, support, and ask questions to help the
presenter think about more ways to go about their project.
Students will also be assessed throughout the project with blogs,
interview questions, presentations, journals, and worksheets.
A final presentation will take place for the school and community.
8. Assessing research strategies, efficiency, analyses, and representation of findings:
I will be assessing students on all of their research steps, but I will also
ask them to write a reflection on:
the research strategies that they used
how efficient they were in their research process having learned
new strategies
how they analyze texts differently and ways that helped them stay
organized
how they feel about their final project and the work that they
completed
