This week is a really big week for us. Thank you to all who make sacrifices and
schedule changes in order to keep up with this rehearsal schedule. If we keep on track
with our preparations, this Christmas Concert may be the best one ever!!

To the Parents of Junior, Senior and Graduate Choristers:

The Board of Directors and office staff of the Birmingham Boys Choir would like to
invite you to enjoy coffee and doughnuts in the parlor at Canterbury United Methodist
Church while your son(s) practice(s) on Saturday, December 5th. Since there was not
an official parents meeting at the conclusion of summer camp, we would like to take
this time to review and familiarize each of you with our policies, and to acquaint you
with the "digital" ad sales we plan to implement in order to help fund our chorister's'
tours. The Junior parent presentation will begin at 9:45, the Senior and Graduate
chorister presentation will begin at 11:00. You are welcome to stay and fellowship and
meet other parents!

POINSETTIAS: This was a GREAT year for our Poinsettia Sales! Congratulations and
many thanks! Pick up is still scheduled for Monday, Dec. 7 at Canterbury between 3:30-7:30pm.
If any Chelsea parents who have poinsettias to be picked up would be interested in having their
poinsettias delivered to Our Savior Lutheran as an alternative pickup location in Chelsea, please

TUESDAY, Dec. 1: Chamber Chorister rehearsal/Caroling, 5:30-7:00 at Vestavia Country
Club. This is our last rehearsal before the concert!

FRIDAY, DEC. 18: VOLUNTEER ENSEMBLE: As mentioned in the email, we have
been contracted to provide an ensemble of singers to sing a Christmas program on 12/18.
Pertinent information is in the email. Administrative Letter is also attached to the email. Please
contact KEN if you want to be involved in thisgoing to be a fun show!

DEC. 30 The Birmingham Bowl: Thanks to all for the quick response to the request for
choristers to sing the National Anthem for the Birmingham Bowl. There are still a few spots
available for TENORS/BASSES. Need about 3 more of each, please.
5.
JANUARY RECONVENE: We take a break from the Christmas Concert thru the
holidays! (except we do have gigs on 12/18 & 30see items 3 & 4) We reconvene with what we
call Winter Camp in January, but its not really a camp like Summer Camp. We spend our
nights at home. But we do a LOT of singing because our 1st performance of the Spring is
Sunday, January 10!
A draft of the Winter Camp schedule was attached last week. If you
need to see it again, please ask KEN.

BBC Senior Monitor List: FALL 2015

Parent Monitors are joyous people! They get to observe up close and personal how the boys work in
rehearsal and experience the magic of the nitty-gritty! Its an easy duty, mostly handing out Blue
Cards and occasionally addressing attention issues. MONITORS will be responsible for TAKING
ROLE at each rehearsal! (This is VERY important!!)
Parent assignments are made by alphabetical by SENIOR CHORISTERS, not Graduate Choristers. If
you cannot monitor on your assigned day, please swap with someone and let KEN know. Monitors
need to be in the rehearsal room 5 minutes before the start of rehearsal and will be dismissed
when their boy is finished with his rehearsal responsibilities for the evening.
