Fall 2015 Narrative of A Job The focus of this assignment is to tell a story from your first working experience and what you learned from it. How will this experience help you as you move forward in your working life? The story we listened to in class is an example, discussing the authors first day on his job and its disastrous consequences. He learned how not to get involved in something outside of his job description. Your first job can be defined literally if you have had an experience outside of the home, or it could include jobs defined by home or school that you had to complete. Sensory detail and dialogue can be helpful for setting the scene and considering your audience. Your essay should include clear details to help your reader understand how this job affected you and your point of view now, including a moral that you learned at the end. This essay should include a description of the job completed as well as a narrative of a defining moment in that job.
