UTD Observation
Dear Raul,
‘This letter serves as a documentation of my observation of your INGL 3103 class on October
28, 2015. During my observation you demonstrated knowledge on the content for this course.
Likewise, your teaching skills, as a third semester Graduate Teaching Assistant, are appropriate
for our teaching environment.
‘The strengths of your class were:
= Good time and class management skills. Students seemed to feel at ease and comfortable
in your class. You successfully got their attention when necessary without any
extraordinary efforts.
= Walked around constantly as student worked to answer questions and clarify doubts.
- Included a variety of activities during the 50-minute class.
‘Areas for improvement:
While you demonstrated to be knowledgeable of class content and confident in your teaching,
there were some areas in which I would like to make some recommendations.
= Provide more opportunities for student engagement while lecturing. An example of this
was how you asked about the hook to provide a better idea of what that means. Other
instances like could be incorporated during lectures.
— Be mindful of your voice level. Sometimes it was too low and this sporadically affected
your diction as well.
PATRONO COW IGLALDAD DE OPORTUNDADES EN EL EMPLEO - MIN

requirements, I am confident that you will consider my suggestions in order to continue
‘growing as an educator and improving on what already are good teaching skills.
Sincerely.
