From Molly H. Fisher (2010), the choice of the cut-off point between novice
and experienced teachers and that it may need to be lowered. Perhaps
novice teacher should be defined as those with up to three years of
experience instead of five. When even more pressure is added from
administrations, stress levels increase and burnout worsens.
From Lisa Flook, Simon B. Goldberg, Laura Pinger, Katherine Bonus, and
Richard J. Davidson (2013). A mindfulness intervention adapted for
educators boots aspects of teachers mindfulness and self-compassion,
reduces psychological symptoms and burnout, increases effective teaching
behaviour, and reduces attention biases.
Kennecth A. Wallston, Barbara Studler Wallston, Shelton Smith, and Carolyn J.
Dobbins (1987). Perceived control may be a centrl psychological construct,
but it does not act in isolation from other important constructs.
Adam A. Torres and Mary Pritchard (2006). It appears that perceptions of
control and severity of the stressor do in fact impact coping strategies and
health outcomes. Health symptoms measured were, cardiovascular,
respiratory, gastrointestinal, muscular, skin, immunity, and metabolic.
