Reflection Statement
Taking a marriage and family course this semester has been a great
experience for me. I feel this class is one of the most applicable classes that
a school can offer. On top of this, the topics and assignments always sparked
my interest, making the class all the more better. I have included two
signature assignments from this course that display a few of the subjects we
talked about this semester. The assignments really impacted me and my
thoughts on some of the areas we focused on.
Most of the topics we discussed in class opened my mind and showed
me the bigger picture. I realized that I didnt always look at things from all
sides, so it really helped put some of these ideas into perspective for me.
Also for some of the essays we were able to interview others to understand
their ideas on different subjects we studied. Being able to talk to others
about these relevant matters, helped to grow my understanding and
knowledge of the world. Overall, the course, along with the coursework,
provided new ideas that expanded my thinking and awareness of many
concepts.
