Web Quest Review

1. What is the name and address of this site?
- The name of this site is zunal
- The address is http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=51441
2. What is it? (include grade/ subject information)
- It is a web quest assignment focusing on Charlottes Web by E.B. White.
The website says it is intended for a 3-5 grade level, and I think this is a
pretty accurate range. However, I think it would be best suited for 3 rd
grade. The website also categorizes it as English/ Language Arts, but the
assignment also covers the topics of math, science, and social studies.
3. Where could you use it in a classroom?
- I would use it in my classroom as a way to pull together all the subjects for
that day. For example, we could spend a week reading the book in class
together, then when we finish the book, we can use that as our focus in
language arts, math, science, and social studies. I think this would be a
good demonstration of how all these subjects were used in the reading of
just one book.
4. What changes would you need to make to use it?
- I personally really liked the content of the lesson plan, the only thing I
would do differently is instead of the students doing it all online as
individuals, we would do most of it together in class, with the exception of
the quiz.
