HISTORY or BACKGROUND OF THE ACTIVITY OR SPORT:


while there is evidence of a game similar to tennis played in the Greeks Romans and
Egyptians. More recent evidence show that it was played in France about 1000 years ago.
It was originally played with their hands rather than a racket. The game became so
popular that the pope and even the king tried to ban it, but as we can see that did not go in
their favor.
ETIQUETTE:
This is a very proper sport, people in the crowd are to remain silent until the rally is over,
where they then may softly cheer for their team
SAFETY:
Make sure that we are using the proper foot-work to ensure less injuries.
Proper form in serving and returning ball to reduce the risk of elbow or shoulder injuries.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Tennis Court
Tennis Racket
Tennis Balls
RULES:
In Tennis, the ball is served over the net into the serving box diagonal of you, where
the ball will then be returned, and a rally begins.
If the ball takes more than one bounce or the ball is hit our of bounds then a point is
rewarded for the winner of the point.
