Questions:
In order to complete this task I ask some questions to the tennis captain,
Jordi Massall.
1. What is the goal of the tennis team?
The main goal for the team I to win the conference championship and
go to the NCAA tournament and do our best.
2. What is your personal goal?
Personal goal is to become a better player and encourage all the new
guys to become better at what they do and enjoy it at the same time.
3. What are practice like?
Practices vary depending on the time of the year. During the fall
semester they tend to be more hard and demanding but during
spring semester they are more light for the fact that we play a lot
more matches than in the fall and we need to be rested enough in
order to be able to perform successfully.
4. What is the difference between America and home?

In America the focus is more on the physical preparation and

strengthening the body for when the conception comes, but in Spain
the tactics and technique are also important.
5. Do you like the facilities at Charlotte?
Charlotte is definitely one of the nicest facilities I have seen. We go to
some universities that done have facility at all so we are very happy
the courts we have.
6. Is Charlotte your new home?
After 3 years I consider Charlotte to be my home.
7. What are the games like?
Games are exciting and they become intense. Games is all we
practice for so when they come we are ready.
8. How do you interact with your teammates?
I interact with my teammates in different ways. Some teammates like
chatting for longer than other so I have to communicate differently
with each one of them.
9. How do you interact with your coach?

How do you interact with your trainers?
I interact with coaches and trainers in the same way. I need to be
polite but giving them my opinion and being straight forward.
Sometimes problems need to be solved so I have to be very clear.

What I traveling with the team like?

Traveling with the team is a lot of fun. When travelling we get to know
each other a lot more than just practicing or doing our daily stuff
together. The environment is more relaxed and getting to know each
other becomes easier.
