The Good Times in Alberta

(1990-2015)

The Good Times In Alberta peacefully passed away late this January 2015. The
Good Times In Alberta (simply known as The Good Times to many Albertans) will be
remembered for providing economic stability, family vacations every summer, and
laughter at the provincial debt we used to wallow in. We will always remember that The
Good Times helped create scores of millionaires in Alberta: while The Good Times were
with us they provided Alberta with nearly 60 Billion dollars per year (CBC.com). The
Good Times health first started failing in 2009.
In 2010 alone, The Good Times provided 5.5 Million in support of Aboriginal
Community Programs through its oil-based programs. We will now be saddened to see
the big jacked-up trucks, calling to mind many happy memories we spent with The Good
Times. Stephen Harper has fondly suggested that Alberta was an emerging energy
superpower and a stable reliable producers in a volatile unpredictable world - these
words now ring bittersweet to those who knew The Good Times well.
Back in the 1990s, after so many years of frustration, The Good Times finally
realized its dream of economic stability. Since then, I recall many happy memories
spent with The Good Times. The rest of Canada is saddened by this loss - The Good
Times in Alberta will live on in the hearts of The Good Times in The Rest of Canada.
