Procedure Text

1. Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is


achieved through a sequence of actions or steps.
2. Here is an example for Procedure Text:
"How to Iron Your Clothes"

You will need :


- an ironing board
- a bottle of fabric freshener
- an iron
- some clothes
Dirrection :
-Preparing an iron board, a bottle of fabric freshener, and an iron.
-Cover the ironing board with some clothes. Make sure that it's thick enough.
-Plug the iron cable into the wall outlet.
-Adjust the heat of the iron. Wait until the iron is hot enough.
-Spray the freshener directly on clothes.
-Iron your clothes.
-Fold your clothes neatly.

3. The purpose procedural text is to tell the reader how to do or make


something. The information is presented in a logical sequence of events which
is broken up into small sequenced steps. These texts are usually written in the
present tense. The most common example of a procedural text is a recipe.

Materials :

an ironing board

a bottle of fabric freshener

an iron

some clothes

Steps :
