6. Wozencraft says that taxpayers would scream out loud because their money is being wasted
inside these prisons as resources are being drained by petty criminals while they are worsening
or staying the same in prison. She believes that having small time criminals in prison does them
no good and is simply wasting money. These criminals are then exposed to worse things when
they are in jail and will either become worse criminals or stay the same not benefiting from the
taxpayers money at all. She believes that their is a better system that they should use to help
them become model citizens.
7. Some qualities of someone that surrenders to old age are losing interest in things they used to
be interested in, reverting back to things they liked when they were younger, stop working, they
talk to themselves/imaginary friends, collecting random things, and having simple needs.
Some qualities of someone that accepts old age as a challenge are avarice, untidiness, vanity, and
wanting to be admired and loved.I think Cowley has more respect for people that find old age as
a challenge is that they are not giving up on life yet and are willing to find new things in life
even though they dont have much time left. They are more willing to make the most of things
rather than lose interest in things they love.
