Lacy Larsen, President Sigma Sigma Sigma Alpha Epsilon Chapter Northwest Missouri State University Dear Ms. Larsen: Its come to our attention that one of your members has recently won their own battle over cancer. As there are many others in her situation, we wanted to inform you that Relay For Life of Nodaway County will be hosting an event in Maryville right after school begins this fall. Relay For Life started as one mans passion to celebrate those who have battled cancer. Not only will this event support your fellow sister, but a great way to bring together others within the community. Relay For Life started in 1985 as a way to fight back against cancer and raise money so one day we could find a cure. Over the years millions of dollars have been donated towards cancer research in hopes to end the battle that many face. To participate, you must create a team and each team member must fundraise a minimum of $10 - $15. This amount can be fundraised individually or you may have a company sponsor you. The minimum amount from each participant will cover the cost of a team t-shirt, along with contribution towards the American Cancer Societys goal for their biggest fundraiser of the year. Sigma Sigma Sigma can help make a difference by raising money towards the fight against cancer, along with walking among other members of the Nodaway community. Important Details: Starts at 6:00 pm September 11 at least one member must be walking at all times Concludes at 6:00 am September 12 Each team member pays $10-15 unless fundraised or company to sponsor you Includes a team t-shirt Located at Beal Park Donation is tax deductible 501-3(C) Sincerely,
