Purpose: Procedure: Conclusion: Lab: Solubility Rules In this lab, you will perform 66 double replacement reactions and observe and record the results. Using the known solubility rules, you will see ifthe rules have been followed. 1. Mixa few drops of each of the solutions given on your report sheet/data table on your spot plate. 2. Stir with a toothpick and discard it. (You may stir 2 mixtures ~ one per end. Never reuse the same end.) Write your observations in the box on the data table, Observe color, formation of a precipitate or gas production. 4, If there is no reaction, write NR. 5. ***Hint— According to the solubility rules, ! have determined that 27 out of the 66 should technically produce a reaction. How many did you get? For each reaction that occurred according to your results, write the molecular, total and net ionic ‘equations. __ For example: TM: KChiay + ABNOg 4a) > KNOstaq) + ABC!)
