Double Entry

Jason Berg: pg 234. A student should not be repeatedly held back on the basis of
one test. A students overall performance should be taken into consideration, such
as classwork, participation, and attitude. If a student is not up to par for some
reason on the day of the test, all of the work and effort that was put into school
during the year goes down the drain.
-Sometimes students arent very well test takers but have done well enough
on the classwork to be able to pass the class.
Len Mcgee: pg 235 Sometimes exam pressure defeats intelligence.
-Some students get really nervous about taking exams/tests that they dont
do as well on them as they wouldve have on their classwork because they wouldnt
have as much pressure on them.
Anita Felice: pg 239 Test scores should be a lot less important than they are now
-It used to be that test scores werent as important as they are now but
unfortunately thats mainly what teachers are supposed to focus on no when it
comes to passing their students when they should only be allowed to focus on their
performance in the classroom.
