Astereotypeisanimagethatisheldofapersonorthingthatisbasedoffofassumptions
.
Everydaypeopleallovertheworldarebeingstereotyped.Alongwithstereotypes,everyonehas
thepressuretoliveuptowhatsocietyexpectsofthem
.Althoughstereotypesandexpectations
willalwaysbepresent,itisimportantthatwestillremaintruetoourselvesevenwiththe
pressuresofsociety.AuthorsG.WillowWilson,AdrianAlphona,andJacobWyatt,showa
characterintheircomicseries,
Ms.Marvel,
whofacesgenderstereotypesandexpectations
beforeandaftershebecomessuper.Whatissoimpactfulaboutthischaracterishowshechooses
toremainwhosheisratherthanconformingtosocietysexpectations.
Afewwaysthatthese
