DearMrs.ChristineKopp:
I am writing this letter to inform you that I am interested in pursuing a career in nursing,
particularly labor and delivery. This career would provide viable skills, not only in the
workforce but in day to daylife. Iwillberesearchingthiscareerduringthese nexttwoyearsfor

and inSouthAfrica. TobeeligibletogetmylicenceinSouthAfricaIwouldliketogotoAfrica
School of Missions Nursing School. In America, I would like to go to Appalachian State
University or Western Carolina University to study this major. I would make about $64,500
annuallyasaregisterednurse.

In order to better understand the everyday activities of this career, I will research everything. I
need to know to become a well suited nurse. I plan on learning the procedures for all the
different ways tohaveachildlikecesareansection,alsoknowasCSection,whichis surgery for
babies that are breach. There is also a water birth where the mother stays in a body of water
throughout the delivery. There is also a natural birth where the mother doesnt use any pain
medicine throughout the labor and delivery. And the last would be an epidural birth when the
mother isgivenashotinthelowerbacktonumbherfromthewaistdowntohelpwithpain. Part
of being a good nurse is learning how to deal with births that dont go well and the baby isnt
healthy. Nurses aregoing todealwithuncomfortablesituationslikeashockinglyyoungmother,
or a strained family but they cannot let their personal opinion stand in the way of helping their
patient.

I pledge to avoid plagiarism, and I am aware of the PLP ethics guide and its consequences for
cheating.

Sincerely,
KaitlynLambert
