Reading these articles does make me think about the times when I was
a part of a crowd and the actions that were taken especially when there
were class meetings held in the gym. A handful of people would get up and
then gradually everyone else would get up, people start to move from one
side of the gym to the other, because of a fight or argument, then everyone
else moves to that side. Its like a game of follow the leader. One person does
something, then another person and eventually everyone is doing it.
Actually, I believe crowds are a physical and human version of the domino
effect. I think people (me included) fall victim to the crowd movement
because of curiosities or just because it is a in the moment thing.
